Writing & Submitting Federal Grant Applications

Are you interested in applying for a federal grant to support the creation of a digital edition or an annotated digital collection or archive? Try this recorded 90-minute workshop that explores the common elements of federal grants aimed at supporting the creation of annotated collections and how to approach those elements in your application.

Led by Diane Matsuda (Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Northern California) and Ken Price (University of Nebraska-Lincoln), this recorded workshop—which was originally held on January 26, 2024—is particularly designed for individuals and organizations who are not affiliated with a higher education institution and/or do not have previous experience applying for a federal grant. This workshop includes practical advice to help you craft your grant application. The presenters also share their insights into the complex process of submitting an application through the Grants.gov portal.
