SNACSchool Indigenous Create and Edit

SNACSchool Indigenous Create and Edit, a virtual event to be held April 22, 1:00–5:00 PM EDT, is a multi-module course geared towards those interested in editing Indigenous entities in SNAC and uses inclusive Indigenous examples and specific ethical considerations. Registration is open to all, but Indigenous community members are particularly encouraged to attend, as well as others who may provide reference to Indigenous topics or collections. Previously recorded sessions and PDFs of slide decks are also available to revisit steps and refresh your memory.

Indigenous SNAC Edit-A-Thon (Part 3 of IndigenizeSNAC Series)

On November 14, from 11:30 AM–5:00 PM EST, Indigenize SNAC will host an edit-a-thon aimed at improving the discovery of Indigenous archival material that has been dispersed to multiple repositories. The event will also explore best practices around entities in SNAC for Indigenous, Native American, Alaskan Native, Native Hawaiian, or First Nations individuals and Nations, as well as for colonial actors and institutions whose records hold relevance for Indigenous researchers.
